Bridgeport’s Brightest Program: Empowering Local Graduates
Access to affordable higher education can be a game changer — not just for individuals but for entire communities. The Bridgeport’s Brightest program is an initiative designed to have a direct impact on our Bridgeport community, making college more accessible and affordable for Bridgeport public high school graduates.
By participating in this program, UB commits to you paying $7,000 in tuition if you are a commuter student or $12,500 for tuition, room and board if you are living on-campus per year.1 Students who take advantage of this program are still eligible for additional grants and scholarships, clearing a path to a UB education for students in our local community.

This is not just an investment in individual futures but also in the future of our community as a whole.

Together, let’s invest in the future of our community and its brightest stars!
Originally, I wasn’t really planning to go to a four-year university. I was planning to go to a community college, but UB gave me the opportunity, and I took it. It just felt like my wish was being granted because I wanted to go to a four-year college, but I didn’t get the chance — so when I got it, I was so happy!
