Naturopathic Medicine Clinic

The School of Naturopathic Medicine and the Naturopathic Medicine Clinic at the University of Bridgeport are closing as of May 2022.

The UB Clinics will no longer be available to provide naturopathic medical care effective April 28, 2022. The clinic and dispensary will be available until that time for your naturopathic health care needs.

Please note that the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, Acupuncture Clinic, and Chiropractic Clinics will continue to provide care during the summer of 2022 and beyond.

Since the inception of the School of Naturopathic Medicine in 1997, our patients have helped us realize our mission. Through the Naturopathic Medicine Clinic, we have been able to provide valuable experiences for our student interns that have prepared them for their new roles as naturopathic physicians who are experts in patient-centered care focused on disease prevention and optimization of health throughout the life span. It has been our privilege to serve the community, providing high-quality healthcare at low cost. These services have also been available at a number of free community clinics for those who had no ability to pay for healthcare.

We have identified a group of naturopathic physicians in the area that have openings for new patients and can be counted on to provide naturopathic care. If you have not already done so, please select one of these providers if you would like to continue your naturopathic care past April 28, 2022. The naturopathic physician referral list may be found under the Patient Info and Forms tab. It is our hope that your transition to another healthcare provider will continue to help you focus on prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyles to meet your individual healthcare goals.

Your medical records will be retained in our electronic health record system for a period of seven years after the closure of the Naturopathic Medicine Clinic and will be available on request until May 2029. To request your medical records, you will be required to complete and sign an Authorization to Obtain/Release Medical Information form. Once the UB Clinics receive your completed release form, we will transfer your medical records to your clinician of choice.

If you have any questions about the Naturopathic Medicine Clinic or the Naturopathic Medicine Dispensary, you may call us at (203) 576-4349 or email UBClinics@bridgeport.edu.

On behalf of the entire UB Clinics healthcare community, thank you for choosing UB Clinics for your healthcare needs.
