Undergraduate/First-Year



First-year applicants should submit the following:

  1. An Application for Admission through our online application portal or through the Common Application.
  2. An Official High School Transcript
  3. Test optional *
  4. Two Letters of Recommendation
    • Dental Hygiene applicants: letters, preferably at least one from a math or science teacher, are highly encouraged, but not required.
    • All other applicants: letters are encouraged, but not required.
  5. Personal Statement (Highly encouraged, but not required.)
  6. $25.00 Non-Refundable Application Fee


* SAT or ACT scores are optional except for a few specialized programs. Students applying as test optional are required to submit a personal essay. Ask your counselor for more information.

Complete your application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before January 1 of your senior year to receive priority consideration for financial aid.

Transfer Applicants



Transfer applicants should submit the following:

  1. An Application for Admission. The University accepts both paper and electronic applications, as well as the Common Application.
  2. Official college transcript(s) from all previous institutions of higher education attended.
  3. Proof of high school graduation (official high school transcript or copy of high school diploma).
    • Not required for RN to BSN and BSN to MSN online applicants.
  4. Two letters of recommendation
    • Not required for all programs; see program-specific requirements for details.
  5. Personal Statement
    • Not required for all programs; see program-specific requirements for details.
  6. $25.00 non-refundable application fee

Application Deadlines



For most programs, a completed application and all supporting materials must be received by:

  • August 1 for programs beginning in the fall
  • December 15 for programs beginning in the spring


Deadline exceptions:

Application deadline for teacher certification and internship programs:

  • June 15 for the fall semester
  • November 15 for the spring semester

Application deadline for Counseling, M.S. and Educational Leadership, Ed.D.:

  • May 1 for priority consideration, August 1 (final deadline) for the fall semester
  • October 1 for priority consideration, December 15 (final deadline) for the spring semester


Early applications are strongly encouraged as program space is limited.
