Meet the Business Program Director
Dr. Tim Raynor, DBA, MBA
Dr. Tim Raynor is an experienced business practitioner with almost 20 years of executive and senior leadership experience. Aside from his professional experience with Fortune 50 companies, Dr. Raynor has an extensive background in international business — having worked overseas on countless multinational task forces.
Dr. Raynor is also a prolific entrepreneur. He has owned and operated several Connecticut businesses, including a coffee company, specialty bakeries, and restaurants. In addition to these local businesses, Dr. Raynor owns a business-consulting firm that wrote a strategic plan for New Haven’s Health Department.
Dr. Raynor has been a University of Bridgeport faculty member for over 8 years — focusing his instruction on Strategic Management, International Business, Business Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. Before joining UB, Dr. Raynor was an Associate Professor and Business Department Chair at Albertus Magnus College. He has continued to lend his leadership expertise to UB — serving as the Dean for the School of Professional Studies/UB Online, the Executive Director for Strategic Programs, and an Associate Professor and Director for the Ernest C. Trefz Business School.
