Collaboration with the Bridgeport Police Department
At UB, we believe in the strength of partnerships. Our collaboration with the Bridgeport Police Department includes regular joint training sessions, coordinated emergency response plans, and open lines of communication, all of which ensure a unified front should an emergency arise. Together, we create a safer community for everyone.
UB1
The Bridgeport Police Department, in partnership with University of Bridgeport, has created a special patrol for UB’s campus called UB1. UB1 is a Bridgeport Police officer that is assigned to UB’s campus every day from 4 p.m. to midnight. Through UB1 and more, Campus Security has fostered a strong working relationship with the local police department. UB1 officers have a strong familiarity with the campus community and have proven to be an invaluable resource for the UB community.
