Math/science sequence

For Pre-ADN, Biology in Focus: Cells, Life (SCI C102) is a corequisite for Introductory Anatomy and Physiology I w/lab (BIOL 113) and a prerequisite for Elementary Microbiology w/lab (BIOL106). Math/science courses are sequenced in the order below; non-math/science pre-requisites can be taken alongside math/science courses in any order.

Take first concurrently:
  • SCI C102: Biology in Focus (3 credits including 2-hour lab), waived by transcript review or placement, and Math 103 (3 credits)
Take before:
  • BIOL 113 (3 credits); BIOL 113L (1 credit, 2-hour lab)
    • Advised to take before BIOL 114; can be taken concurrently with MATH 103 and SCI C102
  • BIOL 114 (3 credits), BIOL 114L (1 credit, 2-hour lab)
    • Ideally take after BIOL 113/L
    • Introduction to A&P I and II should be taken before
  • BIOL 106 (3 credits) + BIOL 106L (1 credit, 2-hour lab)
    • Prerequisite SCI 102, unless waived by transcript review
  • CHEM 105 (4 credits, 3-hour lab; or CHEM 113/113L (3 credits + 1 credit, 3-hour lab
    • Prerequisite: MATH 103, must be taken previously
    • SCI C102 must be taken before CHEM 105
