The American Hospital Association recognized Anne as the 2020 Grassroots Champion, acknowledging her extraordinary leadership in advocating for patients and hospitals. In recognition of these contributions to the quality of life in this region and her achievements as a leader in the field, the University of Bridgeport will be awarding Diamond an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.
“We’re very excited to have Anne speak and to have the opportunity to honor her in this way,” says UB’s Interim President, Stephen Healey. “Her experience as an innovator and leader in health care aligns perfectly with the integrity and vision that our graduates need to set their professional lives in motion.”
The Graduate and Health Sciences Commencement will be held in person with limited attendance at the new Amphitheater in Bridgeport on Saturday, May 15 at 2:00 PM.
