Donna Oropall is a Senior Lecturer of Human Services. At the University of Bridgeport, Donna Oropall teaches numerous courses in the Human Services program while also serving as faculty academic advisor to many of the Human Services majors. Her role in the program focuses on working with our first year students in their foundation courses (e.g., First Year Seminar and Intro to Human Services) as well coordinating and overseeing practicum and internship courses/placements for our more advanced students. She has interests in multicultural/diversity aspects of the field, as well as interests in how the mind and body interact, with specific interests in mindfulness meditation. She imparts this framework through her coursework as students are exposed to both theory and practice in the field. Additionally, as a Yoga and Meditation instructor with 500 RYT and a CHTP, she also regularly teaches a Yoga/Meditation course for the Martial Arts Department at UB, as well as at various locations in the community.
