One visit to our campus in Connecticut’s largest city convinces most students this is the place for them.
Rich in history, steeped in beauty, and with a wealth of leading-edge technological facilities and resources, our flagship Bridgeport campus is an ideal place to learn and to live.
Many of UB’s 75 buildings are historically significant as well as beautiful.
- The archway entrance to our Marina Dining Hall once served as the entrance to the estate of P.T. Barnum, the famed circus showman. In fact, the dining hall is located where Barnum’s “Marina” mansion once stood.
- Bryant Hall, with its inlaid mosaic entryway and ornately carved banisters and ceilings, was built in 1895 for Waldo C. Bryant, an inventor of wiring devices in the early days of electricity.
- Perry Arch was designed by Henry Bacon, who also designed the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
- UB’s setting in Bridgeport’s picturesque Seaside Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York City’s Central Park.
Our 50-acre campus on a gorgeous stretch of Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, Conn., provides an ideal setting for scholarly pursuits.
Bridgeport is known as “The Park City” because of its expansive Beardsley Park, which contains the state’s only zoo. It’s easily accessible via a free ride on a city bus.
Our Seaside Park setting offers outstanding outlets for fun, relaxation, as well as study.
And our location between Boston and New York City — we’re just 48 miles northeast of Manhattan — will enable you to connect with some of the world’s leading corporations, hospitals, and organizations.
UB’s newly renovated clinic at the Fones School of Dental Hygiene is among the finest learning facilities of its kind in the nation.
Our smart classrooms, renovated laboratories, and restored historic facilities for art and design will put you at the forefront of technology.
And our recently completed multi-sport, state-of-the-art athletic field features an artificial turf playing surface, new scoreboard, and new stands.
At the center of the learning experience at UB is our new digital library.
UB is one of the first universities in the world to implement Eureka, a universe of information, an advanced one-stop-library that enables students to remotely research electronic books, online collections, journals, music scores, articles, and digitized manuscripts.
