UB’s Center for Career Development embraces the philosophy that career development is about acquiring the professional skills necessary to manage one’s career at any point along the continuum. We view our services as an integral educational component of the students’ academic program. Our services are geared toward preparing students to successfully assess themselves, research career options, acquire relevant work skills, and use effective tools as they transition to productive academic endeavors and satisfying employment.

Through career exploration and experiential opportunities, students are challenged to expand their knowledge of themselves and the world of work in a dynamic, global community. Career Development is a lifelong and multi-dimensional process filled with choices and adjustments.

Use Optimal Resume to build your customized resume using templates of a variety of styles, and then submit your resume to their Online Review Center for professional feedback.


UB Jobnet

UBJobnet is UB’s internal job portal which houses internships as well as part-time and full-time positions posted by local and national employers. Students and alumni can search jobs/internships and submit their resumes online. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to search and register for career-related events.



Focus2 combines self-assessment, career and major exploration, decision making and action planning in one comprehensive product. Focus2 guides students through a reliable career and education decision making model to help you select majors, make informed career decisions and take action.
