Merit-Based Academic Scholarships for Undergraduate and Transfer Students
Academic Scholarships, based on incoming GPA and test scores (SAT or ACT). The University of Bridgeport also offers Portfolio Scholarships for Design and Fashion Merchandising majors, the opportunity to audition for a Music Scholarship for Music majors, and Athletic Scholarships to those athletes that qualify. Transfer students are also eligible to receive special transfer scholarships.
Priority is given to students who apply early and 96% of UB students are awarded financial aid. There is no need to submit additional materials or to apply separately for these scholarships as they are automatically awarded based on previous academic performance.
Start Preparing in High School with Raise.me
We partnered with Raise.me to offer micro-scholarships that recognize everyday achievements and allow students to begin earning money for college during high school, starting as early as ninth grade. Whether you are a parent, educator, or future college student, our Raise.me page will teach you how this program can help prospective students financially achieve their higher education goals.
Increase Your Scholarship Eligibility by Completing the FAFSA
Students are not required to complete a FAFSA to receive UB’s merit-based academic scholarships; however, students are eligible for additional scholarship and/or grants if they complete the FAFSA. All students interested in applying for financial aid are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) the University of Bridgeport’s Federal School Code is 001416.
