Shape your future in Computer Engineering

Computer engineers work to develop effective and innovative solutions to today’s most complex software and hardware problems. UB’s Computer Engineering BS program trains you to meet these challenges by developing a broad understanding of how the fields of electrical engineering and computer science overlap in the tech we use every day.

UB’s approach to hardware and software design

In this program, you’ll develop the knowledge and skills to work behind the scenes, creating practical solutions to today’s networking and computing challenges. At UB, your classes are taught by experts with decades of experience in their fields.

Gain hands-on experience

During your first three years of the program, you’ll focus on developing the skills you need to become a leader in the field. Your final year in the program is dedicated to exploring your personal and professional interests in computer engineering. You’ll have access to UB’s Engineering Maker Space on campus, a dedicated space for engineering students to bring their ideas to life.

Choose your focus

Software-oriented program: You’ll study artificial intelligence, deep learning, computer vision, cyber security, cloud computing, and web application development.

Hardware-oriented program: You’ll study computer or integrated circuit design, robotics, IoT, and networking.
