Fill out your FAFSA
One of the most important first steps you can take is completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Filing your FAFSA opens the door to federal, state, and UB-specific financial aid opportunities that can help you fund your education.
Be sure to add UB’s school code (001416) when filling out your application. If you’ve already submitted your FAFSA, keep an eye on your email for any updates or requests for additional information from our Financial Aid office.
Need help? Our Student Financial Services department is available to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Submit your deposit
Ready to make it official? Secure your spot at UB by submitting your tuition deposit. This important step confirms your enrollment and allows you to move forward with registration, housing, and other key parts of the UB experience.
Register for classes
After submitting your deposit, your next step is registering for classes. Our academic advisors will help you select your courses based on your program of study and future goals.
Don’t wait — scheduling an advising appointment early ensures you get the classes you want and need to stay on track for graduation. Email admissions at admit@bridgeport.edu in order to connect with your advisor.
Register for essential events
Stay connected and start building your UB community by registering for important upcoming events! Accepted Students Day is a can’t-miss experience where you’ll meet future classmates, connect with faculty, and get a sneak peek of life at UB.
Be sure to check your inbox regularly for invitations and updates about Accepted Students Day, orientation, and other exciting activities.
Submit housing and meal contract forms
If you plan to live on campus, it’s crucial to complete the housing and meal contract forms. Here’s what you need to do:
- Housing deposit
- Housing license agreement
- Meal plan contract
These forms are available online through the myUB portal.
Please note that students under the age of 21 or those with fewer than 90 college-level credits are required to live on campus unless they receive prior approval from the Office of Housing and Residential Life to live off-campus. Students residing within 30 miles of campus are eligible to commute.
Submit required documents
To avoid any last-minute stress, make sure to submit all remaining documents, including:
- Final official high school transcript
- Immunization records
