Updated UB COVID-19 Guidelines & Vaccination Policy

Dear UB Students,

We look forward to welcoming everyone to campus later this month. To protect the health and safety of our UB community, we have established a COVID-19 vaccination policy. You can find the complete policy here, but below is a summary of important highlights:

  • As cases of the Delta variant rise across the U.S., and in accordance with recommendations from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health, face coverings will be required for unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals inside all campus buildings, except when others are not present in dorm rooms, offices, and research labs.
  • Resident Students and Student Athletes must be vaccinated prior to returning to campus.
  • Commuter Students shall complete the vaccination process by October 1, 2021. Students arriving on campus unvaccinated will be required to adhere to the policies for face coverings, health assessments, contact tracing and random testing. All UB employees will be required to adhere to the same policies as Commuter Students.
  • Proof of vaccination must be submitted by uploading an image of your vaccination card here.

We will continue to monitor the situation in Connecticut and make updates to our COVID-19 policies as necessary to ensure the health and safety of our campuses.

Last year, by coming together as a community and following our COVID-19 protocols, we were able to limit the number of cases on campus. As we return, we need to be just as diligent about protecting one another.

Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do this year to ensure your own safety and that of our UB community.
