Nepal Students Inspire UB Community

The entire UB community was invited to a special lunch on Monday, May 4th to raise funds for survivors of the Nepali earthquake. Twelve international students from Nepal studying at the University of Bridgeport spearheaded the event, which was also coordinated by International Student Services and the Office of the Dean of Students, Division of Student Affairs.

340 people attended and $7,717 raised to support the American Red Cross’s Nepali earthquake relief efforts. The suggested entry was $10 for students and $20 for faculty, staff, and the general public, although some stopped by just to donate and skipped the lunch!
