Judge Sheridan Moore to address graduates at University of Bridgeport’s 105th Commencement on Saturday, May 9

The University of Bridgeport will host its 105th Commencement on Saturday, May 9 at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, with ceremonies starting at 10 a.m.

The Honorable Sheridan Moore ’75 will receive a Doctorate of Humane Letters before delivering the Commencement Address. Moore has served as judge for the Connecticut Superior Court since 1998. She received a B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Bridgeport and J.D. from UConn’s School of Law.

Student Martina Santia has been selected to be Class Speaker.

Alumni from of the Class of 1965 will be inducted as Golden Knights on the 50th anniversary of their graduation.

Graduates from UB’s School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Engineering, College of Public and International Affairs, Shintaro Akatsu School of Design, Ernest C. Trefz School of Business, and undergraduates from Fones School of Dental Hygiene will receive degrees.

A separate Health Sciences Commencement will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 11 at Mertens Theater at the Arnold Bernhard Center, 84 Iranistan Avenue, Bridgeport.
