SASD Students Take on the Annual 48-Hour Repack Challenge
From 7 p.m. Friday, February 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015, 20 industrial and graphic design majors from the University of Bridgeport’s Shintaro Akatsu School of Design (SASD) took on the 48-Hour Repack Challenge, an annual cross-country design competition organized by the Industrial Design Students Association (IDSA). Pumped by the creative and collaborative energy that filled the SASD building, the students designed, built, and filmed their brainchild products, which have been entered in the national contest for possible prizes ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.
With nearly 50 corporate sponsors scouting for talent, innovative packaging of their products, and an alternative to high-end ad agency pricing, it’s a win-win for all. For more:
