The University of Bridgeport Division of Student Affairs will host its annual community health fair on Thursday, October 25 to offer free medical screenings, vision testing, prizes, and more. Over 50 vendors are anticipated to attend.
The event is open to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wheeler Recreation Center, 400 University Avenue, Bridgeport.

Individuals of all ages are invited to learn more about how they can care for their health, receive free blood-pressure, STD, HIV and other screenings, and enter a free raffle to win various prizes,” said UB Health Services Director Melissa Lopez. “This year, UB Health Services is working with the University’s College of Naturopathic Medicine to provide the community with flu-prevention tips through a grant from Consolidated Health Plan.”
Some of the services to be offered will include:
· Blood-pressure screenings,
· Confidential STD testing from the state Department of Public Health
· HIV testing
· Body-mass index testing,
