Get on the ‘Net! UB and Connecticut Small Business Center partner with Google to help local businesses go online on Friday, March 24
You’ve got a businessâbut few people know about it.
You’re not alone: Fifty-three percent of small businesses in Connecticut don’t have a website even though 97 percent of consumers go online to look for products and services.
Beat those stats on Friday, March 23, when the University of Bridgeport and Connecticut Small Business Center partner with Google to host Get Your Business Online, a day of free help for small firms who need to create their own websites.
The event will be held at Mandeville Hall, 230 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. It begins at 9 a.m. with a two-hour session, Getting Online Basics. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., experts will guide you through building a website.
Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To sign up, go to www.gybo.com/connecticut/event-registration?event=4453862 or call (860) 832-0650.
