UB interior design student named finalist in PAVE the Way 3D-Design Challenge
Diego Moreno, a junior interior design major at the University of Bridgeport, has been named one of 12 finalists in the PAVE (Planning and Visual Education Partnership) the Way 3D-Design Challenge to be held in Las Vegas on March 10-12.
Moreno submitted designs for a countertop fixture to sell Prada sunglasses.
A prototype of his entry will be manufactured by B&N Industries, a designer and manufacturer for retail and architectural industries and a sponsor of the competition. It will be displayed at GlobalShop, the largest trade show for retail design that is held during the final round of judging for the PAVE Challenge.
“This is an important national competition. Being selected is a reflection of Diego’s talent and keen sense of design,” said John Kandalaft, chairman of the University’s Interior Design Program.
Founded in 1992, PAVE is the top educational foundation for the retail design, planning, and visual merchandising industry and a recognized advocate for design students.
