Dr. Anderson volunteered in St. Lucia, West Indies as a Midwife. She supervised the Midwifery School and Obstetrical unit in a refugee camp in Thailand. Development work in Cambodia included training traditional midwives as well as assisting Cambodian Midwives with the birth of the Cambodian National Midwifery Organization and developing the national birth-spacing program. Dr. Anderson also was a clinical adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota. She currently is in private practice at Sabita Holistic Center in Southport CT. She began teaching as adjunct lecturer and clinical staff at the University of Bridgeport in 2013 and has taught gynecology lab, gynecology, obstetrics, medical ethics, physical exam lab, and practice management I and II.

Area of Interest:
Dr. Anderson became interested in midwifery during her own pregnancy which led her to become a certified nurse-midwife. Working in other countries broadened her world view and honed her skills as a midwife and doctor. In Minneapolis she was asked to develop and work at a school-based clinic creating healthcare access for many adolescents. Dr. Anderson's main focus has been to assist others to learn more about ways to become healthier.
