Dr. Chris Pedigo began his academic career at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he studied Forensic Molecular Biology and worked as a math tutor. He earned a Ph.D in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from the University of Miami and completed his Post-doctoral work at Yale University School of Medicine where his research focused on nephrology. He currently leads preclinical studies at Angion Biomedica, a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focusing on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel small molecule therapeutics to address acute organ injuries and fibrotic diseases. His group studies genetic models of glomerular disease, polycystic kidney disease and chronic kidney disease.
