Susan Miklos is a clinical Assistant Professor at the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport. She received her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting degree from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr in 1982. She earned her dental hygiene degree from Middlesex County College in Edison, 1995. She received her Bachelor degree here at the University of Bridgeport in 2011 and continued graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Master in dental Hygiene science, 2014. Professor Miklos began her teaching career at the University in 2015 as an adjunct clinical professor in Second Year Clinic. Susan’s experience of more than 34 years in dentistry includes clinical practice in expanded function dental assisting and dental hygiene, public health and dental practice technology.
Professor Miklos works with students in the dental materials lab, radiology area of clinic and on the clinic floor with first and second year dental hygiene interns. Professional affiliations include membership with the American Dental Educators Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Connecticut Dental Hygienists Association and New Haven Dental Hygienists’ Association. Currently she serves as the Speaker of the House for the Connecticut Dental Hygienists’ Association and serves on the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Ethics Committee, Region A.
