The Part-time Office Assistant for On-line Programs in Dental Hygiene plans, organizes, and corresponds with students, prospective students and alumni of the dental hygiene undergraduate and graduate on-line programs.

This part-time position requires 8-12 regularly scheduled weekly hours anticipated to include 4 hours per day, 2-3 days/week; flexibility to adjust hours is required.

 

FUNCTIONS PERFORMED IN FULFILLING MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, organizes, and corresponds with students, prospective students and alumni of the dental hygiene undergraduate and graduate on-line programs;
  • Maintain records and statistics and compile reports on activities;
  • Prepare academic record and student curricular progress reports;
  • Consult with the Dean and other faculty and staff as needed; 
  • Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree or Technical School Program completion preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required;
  • Excellent writing and language skills;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Ability to carry out program policies with minimal supervision;
  • Capacity for independent judgment;
  • Ability to problem-solve across multiple departments.
  • At least two years’ of administrative experience with data collection and management, data entry, and advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and/or written form and to establish effective relationships with College staff and students;
