“I see myself working in the sphere of global development, either to reduce global poverty or working towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.”
Major: Global Development and Peace
Field of Study
International Political Economy and Development
Why I chose UB Global Development and Peace Program
I chose UB because of the importance of development experts in my home country, which is ranked 132 in the UNDP Human Development Index. After completing the Global Development and Peace program, I hope to be an asset to my country.
What I enjoy most about the program
I have been exposed to a vast amount of theories related to International Development, conflict analysis and resolution, global communications, and economic development that have undoubtedly greatly increased my knowledge base.
On classroom experiences
Some of the best classroom experiences I had included simulations of real-world situations that allowed students to apply their knowledge in a very concrete way.
Plans for after graduation
I see myself working in the sphere of global development, either to reduce global poverty or working towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.
