“It’s all about raising awareness, and educating people because those are the foundational steps to changing the world one step at a time.”
Major: Global Development and Peace
Field of Study
Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Why I chose UB Global Development and Peace Program
I chose the GLDP program because I knew it would be challenging. The internship requirement was the most appealing aspect. I love to travel and after learning about the program requirements, classes, and opportunities, I was convinced.
What I enjoy most about the program
I enjoy the small classes, discussions, and the diversity of the program. I have met people from all over the world. I have learned about other cultures, as well as development, and global issues. I am passionate about what I am studying and want to share this knowledge with others. It’s all about raising awareness, and educating people because those are the foundational steps to changing the world one step at a time.
On classroom experiences
The class sizes are small, which are great for discussions. I like the simulations that really bring the learning material to life.
Plans for after graduation
I see myself finding an international job in a related field, with the idea of possibly pursuing a doctorate in International Relations. I would also like to establish my own organization to help empower, educate, and motivate youth in high school to prepare for college.
