Looking to go Back to School

When I started looking into going back to school, there were many options. However, none was as attractive as the IDEAL program. The advisors in the IDEAL office played a large part in encouraging me to move forward with my dreams and giving me the confidence I need to go on.

 

Here I am, two years later, being more than half way to my degree. Most of my classes are small, and most of the students are my age and older. That makes me feel right at home. The program is designed to teach people like me who have been out of school for a while. The professors understand that we learn differently as we age. I learned so much about myself from the courses that I have taken so far. There is something that I can take from every class to help me in my life. This is one of the best decisions that I have made in a long time. I will also be going after a certificate in criminal justice so that I can better understand the background of individuals coming out of difficult situations.

Making a Difference in Society

The IDEAL program is preparing me to make a difference in society. Someone said to me a long time ago either you are a part of the problem or you are a part of the solution. I think one of the saddest things that we can do in this life is nothing. Today I share a wonderful life with my loving wife of five years, her name is Joann, and I know this is just the beginning of a life filled with gratitude and purpose.
