What Why How Where When UB

CpE 360 (Robot Dynamics and Control) a.k.a. CpE 460 is a course offered at the University of Bridgeport every year in the fall under the guidance of Professor Tarek Sobh who is also the director of the RISC (Robotics, Intelligent Sensing and Control) laboratory here at the University of Bridgeport.

I took this course in Fall 1999 and we covered topics including Robot Kinematics, Control and Mechanics. Besides the classroom knowledge, we were given the opportunity to work with actual robots in the school's Robitics Lab (see picture alongside). The school owns one Mitsubishi MoveMaster-EX (which I used in my project), a number of SIR robots and some other smaller manipulators.

This page describes what I worked on as my project. Other projects included Andrew Rosca's Revival which is a function library (built in C) for the SIR-1 robot. A famous project from previous years is the Formula-one tire changing robot which was built by Raul Mihali and Dr. Sobh himself.

Please use the links on the top of the page to learn more about my project and feel free to contact me at batra@bridgeport.edu.
