This special issue is devoted to new activities in Web-based Robotics and Automation where robots and other devices can be controlled, explored, inspected and maintained remotely through the web. The focus of the issue will be to present several experimental problems related to robotics and automation for which new web-based trends and mechanisms play a significant role in the solution.
Papers are solicited for the special issue of International Journal of Robotics and Automation covering the area related to web-based robotics and automation. The subject of the papers includes (but is not limited to):

All manuscripts should be mailed to one of the special issue editors by the15 th of May 2001. The covering letter should indicate the names of the authors and their affiliations and their addresses, faxes and emails.
