Academic computing facilities are
located throughout the campus. Computers in most
laboratories are connected to UBNet, the University's
central Ethernet backbone, providing access to
central computing services such as e-mail and
the Internet.
A wide variety of computer applications
are available on IBM PCs, Macintosh and Sun Sparc
workstations. Some of the applications available
for use are: compilers, CAD/CAM CASE tools, databases,
simulators, word processors and statistical analysis
software. Also available are the state of the
art packages like Mentor Graphics, Oracle and
Comnet.
