Course Description

 

The mathematical treatment of the dynamics of ideal fluids. Continuity and motion equations, stream and potential functions, vorticity, circulation. Methods of singularities, separation of variables, and conformal mapping. Jourkowski and Schwartz Christoffel transformations. Calculation of pressure distributions and forces on bodies and other applications.
