The University of Bridgeport's Stamford Center offers graduate programs in Business, Computer Science, Education, Counseling, Human Resource Development and Education Management and an undergraduate degree completion program for working adults, called IDEAL. More than 500 adult students attend classes at the University in Stamford each semester, many of them in the evening and on weekends. The majority of students attend classes part-time while employed at companies in Southern Connecticut, New York or New Jersey. |

The mission of the Stamford Center is to serve the educational needs of working adults through professional programs designed for job enhancement and career preparation. Located in the Riverbend Business Center, a corporate park with ample parking space in Stamford near the Springdale Railroad Station and Route 95, the University conducts conferences and programs in a facility with classrooms, a library, a student lounge with food services and a computer laboratory.
Executive degree programs at the Stamford Center are offered in flexible formats and at times which suit the needs of working adults. Courses are held on weekends, daytime, and evenings, and offer adult students an opportunity to complete a degree in an accelerated period of time. The IDEAL program provides five and eight week course schedules facilitated by combining intensive pre-class reading with post-class papers. This format enables adult students to complete an undergraduate degree at an accelerated pace.
