After receiving his B.S. in Chemistry/Mathematics, Dr. Lord earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Microbiology from the University of Texas followed by postdoctoral fellowships at the Clayton Foundation Biochemical Institute, the University of Arizona, and the National Institutes of Health (Institute of Arthritis and Metabolic Diseases).
