Turnitin

The Magnus Wahlstrom Library offers professors an anti-plagiarism tool called Turnitin.  Turnitin is a web-based utility that compares student papers to various electronic sources and created an originality report, which is a detailed list of text taken from other places.  While Turnitin does not make judgement calls on what is or what is not plagiarism, this program can save the professor hours of time tracking down sources.

If you are a professor and wish to obtain an account, please contact John Laubersheimer to set up a 30 minute training session.
