Pay your club dues.
As a UB Ballroom Dance Club member you are entitled to:
Come to as many weekly classes as you like.
Come to as many team practices as you like.
Come to UBBDC club events.
Team practices:
Tuesday 9pm - 10pm in the Social Room
Thursday 7pm - 9pm in ABC 110
Common Questions
What should I wear?
Clothing that you feel comfortable moving around in and shoes with a smooth bottom that slide along the floor. Ladies, a low heel is often more comfortable than flats.
Because of the close proximity to others, shirts with sleeves and antiperspirant are desirable. If you sweat heavily, a hand towel is a nice thing to bring along.
What kind of "events" do we have?
We're planning on going social dancing at Club Ballroom in Derby at least twice. We’re also talking about having a social here at UB. Check our website for dates.
How can I be more involved?
Come to the club meetings. They’re held twice each semester: once at the beginning and once at the end. The where and when’s will be announced in class and on our website.
Our board meets weekly at 6:30, just before class on Tuesday. All are welcome, but please give us one week’s notice so we can plan our time accordingly.
Can I come early and warm up?
Most of the time, yes. We should be there and have music going by 6:45.
