Getting Your UBNet ID and Password

1) Go to www.bridgeport.edu/ubnet

2) Click on New UBnet Account and read the information on that window

3) Scroll to the bottom where you will see To apply for a UBNet account Click Here

4) Read the information on the University of Bridgeport’s Computer Networks Acceptable Use Guidelines and click on    I Agree

5) In the next screen supply the following information: Your university ID number (which can be found on your UB ID card) or your registration information, First and Last Name and your date of birth.

6) If you are successful in creating a new account you will see a screen that tells you what your UBnet username and password are. Print this screen out / copy this information down and keep it so you can log into your UB-email and use your UBnet account to access databases, the computers in the IT labs, the Webadvisior (to view the classes you are registered for and view grades). It takes 24 hours to process your account, so you will not be able to use your Ubnet account until then.

7) IF you are not successful in creating an account you will see animated faces crying. If this is the case it is because the system doesn’t recognize you as a registered student YET, you can wait 2-3 days or go in person to Carlson Hall 218 or if you are a distance student e-mail them at matanya@bridgeport.edu .

Note: You go to this website (www.bridgeport.edu/ubnet) to Change/Reset your password, to create a dorm connection or to set up a wireless internet connection.
