Sales Manager - Q-Tran
Sales Manger – Specification sales and stocking distributor sales
Q-Tran Inc. the leader in remote transformers for Low Voltage Lighting is looking for a qualified sales manager to join our sales team to continue the development of our representative network, increase our specification sales and increase our stocking distribution team. The ideal candidate will be presentable to the specification community and have the ability to execute distribution and contractor level sales.
In this position, you will
- Drive product sales activities for the commercial/ architectural marketplace within the US and Canada, manage network of 70+ manufacturers rep sales agencies, train and develop the agency base, and make sales calls and make presentations to get Q-Tran specified on projects where low voltage lighting is being used (both interior and exterior applications).
- Drive stock and flow product sales by training rep network, making sales calls on key and targeted (limited to a certain amount within each territory) distributors to have them bring certain products into stock, training their sales people to increase sales and inventory turn, have counter days, and support these distributors as Q-Tran partners.
- Offer the AIA/CES training to architects within key territories to help get Q-Tran specified and the key and top tier levels of the specification process allowing the architects to get their needed annual continuing education credits.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans to grow Q-Tran sales
- Track, measure and communicate rep sales performance, including the agency rankings, performance to forecast analysis, overall product sales and weekly travel summary reports.
- Support agents, representatives, customers and installers to achieve and surpass sales goals and profitability goals.
- 70% North America travel is required, 30% office time.
Skills:
Ability to learn a technical product quickly. (We need someone who is able to accelerate the learning process by putting in long hours initially in order to have a FULL knowledge of the product, sales process, industry and Q-Tran.)
