Media Service Coordinator

The University of Bridgeport has an immediate opening for a Media Service Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring that academic faculty and staff has the equipment and training needed to effectively conduct classroom teaching and professional activities. Oversees all aspects of media support on campus and at satellite sites including a variety of equipment to support audiovisual, electronic whiteboards, digital document cameras, DVD/VCR, sound mixers, etc. Work closely with other university departments to ensure appropriate purchase, maintenance, security, scheduling of equipment. Assists with technical aspects. Provides training to academic users. Supervises student staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required. Training or previous experience required, preferably one year in academic institution.
• Flexible hours, will be some nights and weekends.
• Hands-on involvement.
• Occasional travel to satellite offices in Stamford and Waterbury.
• Ability to troubleshoot and multi task.
• Strong communication skills.
