Gilbert Named to NYCAC All-Conference First Team

Bridgeport, Conn. -- Senior rightfielder Geoff Gilbert has been named to the NYCAC All-Conference Baseball First Team for his performance during the 2005 season.

Gilbert, who had a 14-game hitting streak this season, batted .375 and was a constant threat to throw out runners with one of the strongest arms in the league and the region.

In two seasons, Gilbert had 14 assists from his right field position and helped UB to the program's first-ever NYCAC Tournament appearance this season.
