Women's Gymnastics Completes Season Sweep of Brown
Bridgeport, Conn. -- The UB women's gymnastics team defeated Brown University by a 180.850-179.700 final on March 12th at the Wheeler Recreation Center. The meet was the final home competition for seniors Becky Caravetta and Kate Warner.
Joell Koller finished tied for first on the vault with a score of 9.225. UB won the event with a 45.175. Brown posted a 44.400.
On the bars, Caravetta finished in second place with a score of 9.375. UB scored a 44.800 on the event, while Brown posted a 46.125.
On the beam, Taylor Rut won the event with a 9.175, followed by Tori Aarts at 9.075. UB finished with a 44.750 for the event, beating Brown's score of 43.675.
Aarts claimed the floor exercise with a mark of 9.600 and was the only UB athlete to place. UB finished at 46.125 on the floor as a team. Brown posted a 45.500.
Koller was second in the all-around at 35.925, followed by freshman Sarah Hansen at 35.475.
