Register for Courses

Registration is limited for all courses. Advance registration is strongly recommended because it will assure you a place in your course. Once you have submitted a registration, you will receive a confirmation of your registration and payment.

Registration for Online Courses

Registration for IDEAL courses
Please consult your academic advisor, then register at the IDEAL office or by telephone at (203) 576-4800.

Tuition and Course Fees
The amount of course tuition varies according to each program, please consult your advisor or Click here for Bursar's Brochure.   A registration fee is applied per semester. 

Tuition Payment
Payment of tuition and fees can be made through a credit card, by check or money order, or through Financial Aid. Please indicate your method of payment at the time of registration. Tuition is due at the time of registration or by the first day of class.

Payment by Financial Aid
This payment option is valid only if all three of the following have been accomplished:

  1. You have submitted an Application for Financial Aid to the University of Bridgeport Financial Aid office,
  2. You have submitted a FAFSA form, and,
  3. You have received an award letter from the UB Financial Aid office.

Company Reimbursed Tuition - Direct Payment
Students whose company pays the University directly must submit a letter on company letterhead verifying eligibility prior to registration. The letter must be sent to the School of Continuing & Professional Studies, 126 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604.

Company Reimbursed Tuition - Student Reimbursement
Students who receive tuition reimbursement may defer fifty percent (50%) of their course tuition for up to thirty (30) days after the semester ends. To facilitate reimbursement, a grade and fee report will be mailed to every student upon request who has a company letter on file. Request a grade and fee report from: grade_fee@bridgeport.edu. To defer partial tuition the following qualifications must be met:

  • All prior balances must be paid.
  • A letter on company letterhead that states the company policy and verifies the student's eligibility for reimbursement must be submitted to the School of Continuing & Professional Studies, 126 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604.
  • A down payment of fifty percent (50%) of tuition must be paid to the University at the time of registration.
  • Payment in full of deferred tuition is expected no later than thirty (30) days after the course ends for which the deferment was granted. Deferred tuition is due by the deferred due date regardless of whether the student has been reimbursed by the employer.

Course Drop Policy
Course Drop Policies and tuition refunds vary according to your academic program and the schedule of courses. Please consult with your advisor before dropping a course.
