Instructions for Completing the Online Application to the College of Naturopathic Medicine
Before filling out the Online Application for Graduate Students, please carefully read the instructions that follow.
- Please complete the online application no later than 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester you which to be admitted.
- Be sure to fill out all parts of the Online Application. Optional information is labeled as such.
- When you have completed each page of the application, click "Submit" or "Next" and you will be taken to the following page.
The College of Naturopathic Medicine has the following requirements for applicants to the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Program:
- $75.00 non-refundable Application Fee is required. (Check or money order made payable to the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine.)
- Official college transcripts from every school attended, indicating degree(s) earned and date(s). Undergraduate transcript(s) must show clear evidence of the capacity for independent study and the ability to pursue graduate work.
- Send official course descriptions for all science prerequisites taken. Official catalogs and/or syllabi may be requested.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation are required and should be sent directly to the Director of Graduate Admissions by individuals who have known you for at least one year. (See below for mailing address.) The recommendation should include be prepared by at least one licensed health care professional and at least one faculty member. Letters from close friends or relatives are not appropriate.
- Submit a one page chronological resume of work and volunteer experience.
- A Statement of Purpose should be included as part of the Online Application. It should address the following questions:
o Why do you want to be a physician?
o Why have you chosen Naturopathic Medicine?
o How have you prepared for this rigorous academic effort?
After all required materials are received you will be called for a formal interview. Acceptance to the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine is based on academic history, motivation, and consideration of character and potential within the profession.
