UB women’s soccer ranked no. 1 in nation for fourth consecutive week
For the fourth consecutive week, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer team is ranked number one in the country in the national NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Poll released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Purple Knights, who are currently 12-0-0 on the season, hold on to the number one spot in the East Regional rankings for the sixth consecutive week. One month ago marked the first time in history that the UB women's soccer program has reached the number one spot in the NSCAA national Top-25.
In the NSCAA national Top-25, the UB women have steadily risen throughout the season from number 17 in week one, to number seven in week two, to the number five slot in week three, to number one the last four weeks.

Senior Day, Thursday, October 20
The UB Lady Purple Knights host Wilmington University today at Knights Field at 3:30 pm. This is the last regular season home games of 2011 and the day when UB honors its senior who plays their last regular season home game at UB. The six seniors; Kasey Kenny, Marie Pettersson, Katie Stanley, Marie Biondi, Angelica Modica and Danielle Weir has taken the UB women’s soccer to the NCAA tournament in all three years and hoping that this streak extends to all four at the end of regular season. Thus far they have combined a win/loss record of an impressive 60-11-6.
