It will be all treats this Halloween for music lovers when the University of Bridgeport choruses again team up with the Greater Bridgeport Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, other area choirs, and organists and pianists to host Pipescreams, the annual holiday extravaganza featuring familiar, well-loved, and spooky music.
The 10th annual concert begins at 4 p.m. at the United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue, Bridgeport.
Tickets are $10 for individuals 18 years and older and $5 for students up to 12. Children under 12 are free.
Organ Master David Harris will accompany a silent movie with music on the church’s 5,000-pipe organ, and audience members are encouraged to dress up for the much-anticipated costume parade and competition. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative outfits.
UB’s choral groups will be joined by the Fairfield County and Nora Pfriem Children’s Choirs, and the choirs from Sacred Heart University.
