Queens Poet Laureate David Mills to read at UB’s Necessary Voices series on Thursday April 18
Necessary Voices, the popular series about writers and thinkers at the University of Bridgeport, continues at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 with celebrated Queens Poet Laureate David Mills.
The reading will be held in the duPont Tower Room in the Arnold Bernhard Center, 84 Iranistan Avenue, Bridgeport. It is free and open to the public.
Mills was featured in the PBS documentary Slammin’. He has recorded his work on RCA Records and his poems have appeared in Ploughshares, Rolling Stone, the Boston Globe, Jubilat, and other publications.
He is the recipient of fellowships from the Soros Foundation, Bread Loaf, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Chicago State University.
