UB Board of Trustees member Dr. Kenneth Gray and his wife Doris have honored the memory of their recently deceased daughter, Lancy, by establishing an endowed scholarship in her name at the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Gray is a professor of business and senior Fulbright Fellow at Alakhawayn University in Morocco and has served on the Board of Trustees at the university for several years. He is also associate professor for International Business at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee.

By the time she was 15 years old, she spoke German, English and French and had a basic knowledge of Arabic. Lancy was an accomplished cellist and played in an orchestra. She intended to study cultural anthropology and world religions.
