University of Bridgeport's Stamford Campus Celebrates 25 Years
New Wing Is Opened As Expansion Continues

The University of Bridgeport's Stamford campus hosted an Open House on Tuesday, November 28, to celebrate 25 years of delivering high-quality college courses to a mostly post-graduate student population. A new wing was dedicated as well, which includes three classrooms, a new computer lab and a student study area and lounge.

The UB satellite campus at the Springdale Riverbend complex in Stamford (5 Riverbend Drive) currently serves more than 500 students, 80% of them in graduate programs. Most programs offer accelerated schedules with many classes taught on the weekends to accommodate busy professionals. The Master's in Education program is the only one in the area offering daytime classes, making it easier for women with younger children to study while their children are in school.

Other programs at the Springdale Riverbend campus are a M.S. in Computer Science; a Master's in Business Administration; and a Master's in Counseling and Human Resources. Around 100 undergraduate students are enrolled in the IDEAL continuing education program.
