MENS' SOCCER COACH
Brian Quinn,
former assistant coach at Southern Connecticut
State and Boston University, has been named the
men's soccer coach at UB. Quinn succeeds Joe
Barroso. During his 12 year tenure at his
previous schools, Quinn's teams took part in six
national tournaments. "I was very impressed
with his past experiences and successes with
other programs and I look forward to him bringing
that leadership to our men's soccer
program," said Joe DiPuma, UB Athletic
Director.
WOMEN'S
GYMNASTICS' COACH HITS 100 MARK
Congratulations to
Women's Gymnastics' coach Lorraine Duffy who won
her 100th meet recently when the Purple Knights
defeated Ithaca. She is 100-22 in 11 seasons at
UB. Between 1986 and 1997, Duffy led the team to
eight Eastern College Athletic Conference
championships and 10 straight NCAA tournaments.
