Mens' Basketball
Senior Dave Lemanczyk, who scored 40 points and
grabbed 31 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Purple
Knights recently, was named to the New England
Collegiate Conference Honor Roll. UB is second in
the NECC in three-point field goal percentage
(.358)
Women's Basketball
Freshman Fatima Carvey was selected as this
week's NECC Rookie of the Week. Carvey, the only
Purple Knight to have started in all 22 contests,
pulled down a career-high 22 rebounds in a recent
loss at New Haven.
Women's Gymnastics
The lady gymnasts are off to their best start in
recent years at 7-1.
Earth
Day Action Contest
Earth Day 2000, on April
22, is an international celebration of the
natural environment. In honor of that day there
will be contest for the best UB campus
environmental improvement project. First place
prize is $200, second place $125, and third place
$75.
Either groups or individuals can participate.
Proposal deadline is March 31. For rules and
