Hawley named coach of the year
Doug Hawley '72 earned the honor of being named Vermont Coach of the Year for 2001. He’s been coach of girls' soccer at Vergennes Union High School since 1991. Hawley's team won the Vermont State Division II Championship in 2001.

Heft wins honors for teaching excellence
Professor Harry Heft was the winner of the Brickman Teaching Excellence Award this year at Denison University. He teaches in the Department of Psychology.
